DRCMR marks the kick-off of our very first Diversity grant: REFRESH!

 The REFRESH project will tackle the gender imbalance in senior academic roles.

In neuroscience, women are underrepresented in senior research positions, despite comparable numbers of male and female PhD students and Postdocs (= the leaky pipeline). To tackle this at DRCMR, we will support female researchers in the transition to senior academic roles.

REFRESH will identify the sources of the “leak”, increase awareness of gender bias, implement a mentorship programme, and enhance visibility of inspiring female scientists through a lecture series (open to all).
