My research interest focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms of first-episode psychosis, using advanced structural and diffusion MRI in antipsychotic-naïve and early-treated patients. I integrate multimodal neuroimaging with clinical, cognitive, and psychopharmacological data to disentangle illness-related from treatment-related brain changes. This work aligns with DRCMR’s emphasis on high-quality MR methodology and translational neuroscience, with the aim of identifying robust imaging markers relevant to early psychosis, disease progression, and treatment response.
