The MAX IV Imagers project shows great potential in using synchrotron radiation in health research

 

NEW RESEARCH: Danish pilot project "The MAX IV Imagers Project" shows great potential in using synchrotron radiation in health research for better disease understanding, more accurate diagnoses, improvement of current imaging technologies (MRI scanning), development of new medicines and personalized medicine.

The project has been granted DKK 4.5 million by Region Hovedstaden the Research Fund and is led by Senior Researcher Tim Dyrby from Amager og Hvidovre Hospital.

The Partners come from several hospitals in the Capital Region, and the research is carried out together the University of Copenhagen, DTU - Technical University of Denmark - and Lund University.
