 On Friday the 20th of October, Christoffer Clemmensen gives a talk entitled "Novel Molecular Targets for Obesity and Diabetes Pharmacology".

Presentation

The presentation will focus on the transformation of recent progress in identifying the molecular signals governing appetite, energy expenditure, and glucose- and lipid metabolism into efficacious therapies for obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Christoffer Clemmensen - a short curriculum vitae

Christoffer Clemmensen is an Associate Professor of Energy Metabolism and Molecular Pharmacology at the Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. After graduating from the University of Copenhagen with a MSC in Human Biology, Dr. Clemmensen joined a PhD program at the Institute for Drug Design and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen, under the direct supervision of Prof. Hans Bräuner-Osborne. Christoffer did his postdoctoral training with Prof. Matthias Tschöp at the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity at the Helmholtz Diabetes Center in Munich, Germany, where he later became a Group Leader of the Drug Development Unit.
