The MR signal

The basic MR experiment:
Place patient in the strong magnetic field.
Apply radio waves perturbing the equilibrium magnetization.
E.g. a 30 degree rotation.
     
Switch off RF and measure the precession of the magnetic dipole:

Analyze the weak emitted radio signal.
