Research Interests

Recent research includes hyperpolarized imaging, spectroscopy, motion correction, and encoding of non-MR signals in MRI, e.g. for artifact correction.
Interests also include MR fundamentals, and widely used educational tools made freely available via the DRCMR homepage.
The research focus is imaging and spectroscopy methodology, mostly for brain. The established techniques have been used in studies of multiple sclerosis, depression, and muscle energetics, for example.
Most of the research is pursued in collaboration with Center for MR at the Technical University of Denmark where LGH is independently employed as Associate Professor, and is involved in the HYPERMAG Center funded by the Danish National Research Foundation.
