In 2011-2012 a 7T scanner will be installed at the DRCMR after generous donations from the John and Birthe Meyer Foundation and the Danish Research Councils .
The current equipment of the center includes the following:

A wide-bore high-end scanner with multi-nuclear capabilities installed 2010. |

A classic multi-channel general purpose scanner installed 2010.

This scanner was installed in 2002 after a generous donation from the Simon Spies Foundation. |

| Varian Inova 4.7T |
This highly flexible experimental scanner is used for animal and "in vitro" work. The system has undergone a number of upgrades and is fully up-to-date with parallel imaging capability. |

| Oxford HyperSense hyperpolarisation unit |
A generous donation from the Simon Spies Foundation (description in Danish). The department has a research agreement with GE Healthcare and does in vivo studies of metabolism using hyperpolarised 13C-labelled pyruvate, for example.

Excellent facilities for advanced neuroimaging studies.

| Animal laboratory |
The department has good facilities and skillful staff. |

| Computer laboratory |
The analysis of MR images is very computer intensive and is performed using a cluster of fast computers. |
