Main Research Interests:
The main topic of my thesis is decision making, and using pathological gambling as a faulty decision making model, I am investigating decision making and emotional processing in pathological gamblers. The methods used are functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and behavioural measures.

Other research interest(s):
I am also very interested in the development and evolution of cognitive abilities in humans and animals. Particularly, I am interested in the enigma of how and when consciousness arises in humans, both in development and in evolution.
