Research Interests

My research is focused on individual differences in human brain and behavioural development, and on how environmental (e.g. stress, physical activity, alcohol use), genetic and hormonal (e.g. cortisol, sex hormones) factors modulate such development. I study this by employing multimodal neuroimaging techniques, behavioural and clinical assessments, and hormonal sampling. During my PhD and postdoc studies I collected comprehensive longitudinal MRI and behavioural data (up to 11 assessments) with 6 months interval in a cohort of typically-developing children aged 7-19 years. My work has primarily focused on the relationship between brain structure and performance on different behavioural functions.
