DRCMR proudly announces that an article written by DRCMR et al. entitled "Accurate and robust whole-head segmentation from magnetic resonance images for individualized head modeling" has been accepted and published in NeuroImage.

Summary:

The article presents and validates a new automated approach for segmenting fifteen head and neck tissues from MRI scans. These segmentations can be used for improved head modeling in transcranial brain stimulation and M/EEG. The results show improved spatial accuracy  and robustness over existing open-source segmentation approaches. However, choice of MRI scan parameters can lead to systematic biases, and result in simulation differences up to 30%, when compared to reference segmentations on a standard transcranial electric stimulation application.  '
